What we're all about!
We have a love of the hygge ethos, mindfulness and creativity. Based in East Lothian, Scotland, surrounded by the sea and all things nature, our aim is to bring a little bit of that hygge calm, cosy contentment to your home. How we got started
During covid lockdown, facing struggles with long-term illness, city work / life balance and the pressure that was having on my physical and deteriorating mental health - something had to go. I had to pause, take a moment and reevaluate what was important.
In that moment of reflection, i rediscovered my passion for woodworking, design and art.
I realised the importance of mindfulness and what creativity does for me and its importance in this busy crazy world.
Having always loved, respected and implemented aspects of the Hygge ethos, being calm, cosy and contented, Into my life, an idea came to fruition - HyggeHoose was born!

Here is how I describe my style - Sustainable, handcrafted, bespoke, unique, beautiful, finely finished, rustic meets modern, functional art, stunning, did i say beautiful? Eye poppingly glorious.
