Heirlooms poured
in resin & timber.

A small Scottish atelier crafting one-of-one serving boards, whisky flights and live-edge furniture for those who appreciate the patience of true making.

— Chapter I —

Born of stillness, in a Scottish workshop by the sea.

HyggeHoose began in lockdown — a moment of forced pause that became a returning to the workbench, to the grain of cherrywood, to the slow alchemy of pouring resin.

Today, every piece is conceived, sanded, poured and signed by a single maker on the East Lothian coast. We do not produce. We compose.

— The Yew Collection —

Live-edge yew, lit from within.

Floating shelves carved from a single Scottish yew — the timber that outlives cathedrals. Warm light pools beneath each board, turning a quiet alcove into the most contented corner of the house.

Each shelf is hand-finished and mounted on concealed steel floating brackets, secured directly into the studs — engineered to carry weight in silence, so the timber appears to drift from the wall. Subtle veins of black resin are poured through the natural cracks and knots — at once stabilising the timber and drawing the eye, a quiet contrast of ink against honeyed grain. A single tree, a single maker, a quiet ritual of light and grain.

— A Commission —

Made for your table.

The Collection is finite by design. For something singular — a wedding gift, a whisky flight in your own initials, a live-edge piece sized to your alcove — we open a small number of bespoke commissions each season.
