We propose timber, resin palette and form. You receive sketches, samples, and a binding quotation.
Creation
Four to sixteen weeks at the bench. You receive progress photographs at each milestone.

Hand-delivered within the UK. Signed, numbered, and accompanied by a certificate of authorship.

Each commission is quoted in premium hardwood as standard — selected from current studio stock for grain, figure and stability. If you have a preferred species in mind, we are happy to source it. Pricing may adjust depending on rarity and board size.

A measured three-stage rhythm.
Each commission is secured with a booking fee, advanced with a deposit at the start of making, and concluded with the balance on the day of delivery. No surprises, no hidden fees.
Booking Fee
Reserves your slot in the studio calendar and covers initial sketches, timber sourcing and resin samples. Non-refundable, deducted from total.
Making Deposit
Together with the booking fee this brings you to 50% of the agreed total — released as we cut, pour and shape your piece.
Final Balance
Settled the day your piece arrives, after sign-off. Includes any agreed delivery, fitting and certificate of authorship.
Worked example — a £5,300 premium hardwood shelf commission: £530 booking fee, £2,120 making deposit (£2,650 total at 50%), and £2,650 balance on delivery.
Payment by bank transfer or card. For commissions above £6,000 we may agree an additional milestone payment at the halfway photographic update. All terms are confirmed in writing on your binding quotation.
Shipping & installation.
Every piece is hand-delivered by the maker or a vetted partner — never couriered loose. Indicative figures for UK destinations are shown below; final cost is confirmed at quotation.
Small piece: coasters, whisky flights, single boards. Large piece: shelving pairs, cabinets, dining tables. All goods insured in transit.
Additional fees.
For wall-mounted pieces or tables sized to room, a brief site survey ensures the result is faultless. Fees are transparent and itemised on every quotation.
